Domestic hot water (DHW) is the potable hot water used for washing, showering and kitchens, as opposed to heating water that circulates in radiators or underfloor systems. Typical demand is 30–50 L per person per day at 60 °C. DHW is stored in enamel or stainless-steel cylinders or produced instantaneously by hygienic tanks and fresh-water stations.
