Definition
A PV-T hybrid panel is a photovoltaic module with a fluid-cooled absorber on its back that produces electricity and low-temperature heat from the same roof area. Cooling the cells recovers some electrical output, while the captured heat serves hot water preheating, pools or a heat pump source. Unglazed PV-T works best near ambient temperature; glazed versions deliver hotter water at the cost of electrical yield.
